Loving these gorgeous hand written wedding invitations that were posted by the lovely Nole of Oh So Beautiful Paper. That pop of Neon looks fantastic paired with the white and dark grey.

I have an extra awesome font friday for you today! I was inspired by Steph’s post last week about the fonts she has used in her wedding invitations so I thought I would share with you our own invitations! I’m a big typography fan so I wanted our invitation to be more like a typographic print than an invitation. I was inspired by vintage posters and letterpress so I brought in a slightly modern twist on that concept. I used stripes in a lot of other collateral on the day so I was keen to bring it into the design of the invites too. If you head on over to Magnolia Rouge the lovely Kate has featured a few shots from our big day so you can see the whole shebang. Thanks Kate!
In the visuals below I’ve used 5 different fonts. They are Blair ITC, Didot, Creampuff, Bebas and Parfait Script. I love the combo of serif, sans serif and script fonts so it was without question that I would use a number of fonts for the invitation design!
Here are a few snaps that I took while putting everything together…
The picture of us on the RSVP was taken by the talented team at icandy who did our engagement shoot which you can see here.
The assembly process!
Ready to go…
Once I had designed the invites I wanted to create a small thank you card that guests could take home with them that followed the same look and feel as the invites. I decided to incorporate the thank you card into the table name cards. (I’ve seen lots of different variations of the copy that I used for the thank you note so if anyone has an original source please let me know!)
The 2 images below were taken by the talented team at Alpine Images.
I hope you enjoyed this week’s font friday (I think that might be the longest post I’ve ever done?!) You can see more great font friday picks on these wonderful blogs Lauren Elise Crafted, The Aerialist Press, Blush Printables, Brancoprata, Bubblerock, Fourth & Folded, Hank + Hunt, The Knotty Bride, Litte Bit Heart, Palm Papers and Super Swoon!

Read MoreThese are some wedding invitations that I designed for my lovely friends Rebecca and Will who are getting married TODAY! Rebecca is from New Zealand and Will is from England so I created an icon to symbolize their kiwi and english backgrounds. Wish I could be there celebrating with them but sending love and best wishes from the desert will have to do. xo
ps sorry for the not-so-lovely pictures, I’m still learning!

The gorgeous pictures were taken by the fabulous icandy forever team (who also took our engagement pictures) Neil did an amazing job of all the design elements with everything looking perfect. It was so awesome to see both the bride and groom so happy on their day. Congratulations guys!
