Read MoreWell I’m a day late with Font Friday this week but better late than never right?! Today I have a beautiful font crafted by talented (Melbourne based!) designer Josip Kelava. A little bit about the font from the designer, Metropolis comes from the industrial years of the 1950′s where skyscrapers were born. Greatly inspired by the double line work of Twin by Mark El-Khatib, I used the double line method on HTF Champion Featherweight as a template to create a new typeface. The result is a bold, pompous typeface with a stolidly calm disposition.

Happy Font Friday! Wow we have a pretty awesome Font Friday for everyone this week… with Christmas right around the corner (yea I still find that hard to believe too…) all the #fontfriday girls teamed up to offer several free downloads, all using the font Skunkling. If you’ve never heard of Skunkling it was created when designer/typographer Jason Mark Jones signed up for the Design*Sponge and Veer ‘Design your Own Alphabet‘ contest.
