These paintings are created by New Zealand artist Fiona Whyte. Striking colours and a simple illustrative style… awesome.

weddings galore…

Tuesday, March 31st, 2009

So I have a few friends (and two brothers) getting married within the next year or so, which is awesome because I love weddings, designing invitations and I especially love doing wedding “research” (which I class as looking for really cool stuff like decorations, photography, colour schemes, wedding dresses…the list goes on…) so I have a million and one ‘wedding inspiration’ bookmarks that come in very handy! This is an invitation I did at work a while ago for a client. Will post more invitation designs as they progress…

Well it’s been pretty spectacular weather here at the moment, it’s a nice change from having no seasons at all! This is a rad picture I took from our apartment balcony.

old school bacardi

I’ve been doing quite a bit of design work for Bacardi at work at the moment so I have engrossed myself in research about the brand. The other day I came across some old ads on Flickr. They’re from the 1960′s (as you can probably tell in the first ad from the hairstyles and clothes…!) Pretty retro, love it.
